scruffuk: That old fashioned look is super cool. Strømeng are a more traditional knife, but have you seen the one with finger guard they made for the norwegian military? The saami call it "søringsperra"

I.N.F.K: I guess for the Saami people in the north it was more important to not lose your knife as it could mean your life!
But i agree that a more "modern" sheath would bee more practical. You need two hands to draw with the high-top design. I've actually been thinking about making a sheath with a strap-lock for it.

Just came across that model and was about to post it here myself. If I get one it will be the military model.

I.N.F.K : I hve used that model and the length and balance are just perfect, but i think that you really dont need the finger guards on these knives. The sheath is nice but the fastener on the strap is velcro, and over time it can be filled with lint and stuff and not to secure ( I assume)
