So, I just got this in and I'm pretty chuffed so I hope you guys get excited too. I've been reading up the last few days and with some help from @Obsessed with Edges (David), here's some info. Made here in Norway for Lauffer the American market, most probably between 1962 and 1977. It's 18/8 steel outside with a harder cutlery grade steel for the edge.

Some Helle history from David:

My source for the other info (in norwegian):

Down to my first impressions. If there's interest I can write up a report after I gut some fish with it over the next few months, but I guess it's not a knife a lot of people have or desire so pictures will suffice.

The blade is more solid than I thought it would be and came shaving sharp. For the length of the blade, I feel that it is thicker than most Helle hunting knives made today. I carry a similiar sized Helle fixed blade either in my bag or as EDC. The fit and finish could be better on one of the pins in the handle, but it's an old knife with a wood handle so maybe it was perfect when it was made and it's just an effect of aging. Either way, it feels solid in the hand and is something like a hunting knife they put in a steak knife's body (if that makes sense).

First vintage knife for the collection, so I'm super stoked it came in such great condition.

Here's some pics:
