Hello All - First Knife, First Post

Welcome brother, you will get bit, its just a question of when! Let us know how many days it is before you cut yourself! You are not a knife owner if you don't cut yourself! My friends and I play this game all the time with our new knives! Welcome again and have fun here!

Because I know all of you guys care soooo much...

I think I have my next 2 knife purchases already in mind:

Ladybug Salt 3 Hawkbill

Spyderco Native FRN PE (C41BK) or Delica4 PE (C-11F)

Still havent made up my mind between the Native and Delica but the choil and blade shape have me leaning towards the Native

everybody needs a knife!!thats why all of us here in bf has a drawer full of knives..haha :)

I decided to buy the Chaparral instead of the ones I listed above. My plan is to have the Dfly and Chaparral in hand, compare them both for my needs, than return one of them since both have a 30 day return period. This forum has been extremely helpful in helping me decide which blade works best for me. Ill be sure to report back once I get these in hands this or next week. I got the Dfly from walmart.com and chap from amazon.com. Amazon seems to have pretty good prices for most knives.

Well i have had the Knife bug for a few years now, and i love coming to the site to read what everyone else is talking about, So i finally decided to join myself.. hehe i dont know why i have not done it already. lol after all i have a youtube channel with all kinds of knives on it lol

Knives are tools. Not weapons.
If you DID get in a fight, use fists, or evade.
When in court, the fact that your knife stayed in your pocket, will have a positive impact on this hobby.
BUT ON THE OTHER HAND
Your wallet doesnt know what it's getting into. :D:D
PS:
Spyderco is great. Don't leave them.
But some other brands to check out:
Buck
Kershaw
Benchmade
Case
GEC/Tidoute/UN-X-LD
Victorinox
And (be very careful and research the exact knife FIRST) Cold Steel
Some Cold Steel stuff is excellent, while other knives and gear by them, even within the same price range, are horrible.
Stay under $100.00 with Cold Steel and you'll be alright. The knives are pretty good, but warranty and company views are iffy.
