I just joined and want to introduce myself. By any stretch of the imagination I am an "old f*rt." I arrived in this world on the same day that the Allies landed on the beaches of Normandy.
I'm new to this forum; I am NOT new to knives or knife-collecting. My primary interests are in fixed-blade "utility" knives, which are almost always single-edged. I grew up in the woods of Dixieland, USA, so I have a preference for larger blades that can be used for chopping, etc.
One of my best, though now departed, friends was a member here. To respect his Native American cultural traditions I will not speak (or write) his name. Those of you who knew him will remember that his knife-pictures always had an "Indian Blanket" as a background. If you did know him please do not write his name.
