By golly Frank, it's good to have you back, I was wondering where you'd got off to. Hope you're doing well and staying out of trouble (well most of the time anyhow). Lots of new folks here and over in the Cantina, but still plenty of the old gang hanging around. We're all just a bit worried about Josh, seems his hair has turned a most unnatural hue.;)

Welcome home,
Sarge

Hey Sarge how are you?Yes too long for me to be off this place.I missed it dearly.Sarge,my memory has aged abit.Did u rebuild my bilton????

Good to meet you Frank. Hope all is well there.

GRRR couldnt see the pics of the Bilton in that thread...Is it my puter or has it been to long?? The Kardas that are spoke of have my attention

JUSTRIGHT...Glad to meet ya...I am one of the new ones that is very confused most of the time from sniffing leather glue and spending my spare time lusting after a Kerambit!!!:D

Hey Frank...good to see you.

(another clue...BL is either an old Englishman, a sailor, or a RenFarian. We're closing in, Bruise.)

Huzzah (originally huzza) is an old English expression of joy or approbation. According to the Oxford English Dictionary it is "apparently a mere exclamation" without any particular derivation. The OED notes, however, that in the 17th and 18th centuries it was identified as a sailor's cheer or salute, and thus was possibly related to words like heeze and hissa which are cognates of hoist.

The word hurrah is a more modern form, also related to similar words in European languages. The OED states: "In English the form hurrah is literary and dignified; hooray is usual in popular acclamation."

The term huzzah has been adopted, with no change in meaning, by modern gamers and those involved in the Renaissance Fair circuit both of which communities, admittedly, overlap.

Actually, I took it from a video game that I played years ago. You'd walk up to a guy and talk to him and he'd say (in text), "Huzzah, I am Zoltan, King of Gypsies." Later on in the game, if you talked to him again he say, "Huzzah, I am still Zoltan, King of Gypsies." I think it was Ultima 5.

It was a life changing experience. (at least for my vocabulary) ;) :)

I like this idea. It might comfort those of us here that tend to be somewhat Zombiphobic.

Huzzah, I am STILL MauiRob.
