Edit: Just purchased my first Busse. Anxiously anticipating its arrival. Pic on page 2.

---------------

Noob here. Directed this way by my A+ amigo I'mGatman.

While I've always appreciated a fine blade, and owned a few reasonably nice cutting utensils, my primary love-interest is bullet-launchers. Well, when I'mGatman dropped by the house the other day and showed me his new BATAC, I was awestruck. The lines, heft, craftsmanship, and overall aesthetics captivated me. I'd never handled such a beautiful yet utilitarian blade. I've been able to think of little else since.

Obviously I have a lot of research and learning to do, but I sense a Busse (probably a SH...gotta decide which variation...something not too "pretty," because I'm going to get it dirty) on my horizon in the very near future.

Excellent website, and I look forward to my education here, and interaction with all of you folks (I'mGatman already told me what a fine group this is).

By the way, my contribution to the field of fighting tools is custom grip work (i.e. reductions, ergonomic shaping, non-slip texturing) on polymer-framed handguns, such as Glock, Springfield Armory XD, H&K, Kahr, etc. I am an FFL (via partnership with a local gun shop as one of their in-house custom 'smiths).

Welcome, always good to have new people! Just be sure to stay away from the old Steel Hearts! :D

Welcome !

We've been expecting you. I'mGatman said you'd be stopping by.

You want one of the older SH's ;)

I'mGatman told me my avatar pic, which is the logo of my company, would fit right in here.

Welcome Ben, you've found a great way to soend HOURS of your time, every day, hoping for another INFI fix...

Welcome aboard!

Ben! I knew you'd be here eventually. Hogs, Hogettes and Piglets: this here is the man that taught me pretty much everything I know about pea-shooters. Good man and good friend. I hope we don't get him too addicted to the koolaid, though, cuz I'll hafta answer to his lovely wife...and I don't want that buttwhoopin'! (Plus, she'll start whispering bad things to my wife too!:D)

Ben, after you get your blade, we gotta decide on something for the GOAT and start teaching him about knives as well as guns. :D:D:D

Welcome, brother. Have fun at the hog hunt today!

Again, thanks to all for making room for me at the trough!! I'll take a grape Kool Aid, shaken not stirred please.

My black rifle and NFA addiction has me used to finding ways to drum up additional cash (extra work, sell off some of my other lovelies, etc) to acquire needful things.

Last night I was up until almost midnight drooling over all the knife photos.

In addition to the SH2, I'm also liking the BM. I want something that I can use for all manner of outdoor tasks, from hacking poles to fashion a lean-to, splitting the ribcage & pelvic bone of big game, chopping firewood, but also tasks that require a little more finesse, like cutting food, etc. ( I bet you're going to tell me I might as well get a couple of Busses if I want to do all that!)

Brother Jason, it looks like the hog hunt might be postponed. No biggie, but the weather would've been great. The delay gives me time to get my gear better squared away (still am not sure which rifle I'd be using...an AR or my vintage K98K Mauser). It also gives me time to perhaps get a Busse, so I can have that by my side on the hunt instead of my Cold Steel Mil Classic.

Welcome Bro, sit down, take a load off and we'll hook you up to the Kool-Aid Tanker out back! Only suggestion, sip, don't gulp!!!
