We'll see if I can get this picture to post.

Ok. Got the pix up. Kesar's off somewhere so he's missing. A couple of others are gone too but here's who we have.

l to r

Ramesh -- silversmith

Some guy I missed

Nima (3rd from left) -- Pala's old ranch foreman. Been with Pala 40 years. Heavy Maoist activity in the Solu so Pala brought Nima and wife down from the ranch and put him to work in the shop --mostly a watchdog and gofer.

Teg Bahadur -- Kesar's helper.

Arjun -- Sanu's brother in law and helper.

Another guy I missed

Sanu -- glasses, in blue top and bottom

Sher -- he's the only guy looking down rather than at the camera

Dille -- Sanu's helper.

Santa B. -- Bura's helper

Mim -- The "buffing man." Magic stone expert.

Bura

Prakash -- one of the sarkis but NOT the village sarki.

Did I get everybody?

I think I got it right finally.

Cool Pic Uncle Bill. Thanks for sharing it with us.:) I think you missed the two guys on the far right side on the end. There are 13 people in the pic and only 11 names.

Heber,
I think Bura is the fellow who is 2nd from right.

Hm, probably so. Thanks. Well, I still count 11 names and count 13 people. It's still to early in the day for me so maybe I'm not seeing straight yet.:p

Hmm...I get 13 people and 11 names as well. Maybe a few people snuck into the pic after Uncle Bill posted the names;)

I count 12 names, if you include 'some guy I missed'.

All of you "eleven name" guys are leaving out "some guy I missed", standing next to Ramesh....probably one of the KNNs :p

Beo, thanks again for good help.

Will, that's the shop. Bottom floor is shop, top apartments for kamis and sarkis. Those twin doors you see right behind Bura is the common charpi for everybody. I'll put it up against anybody anywhere for being the nastiest, foulest, smelliest outhouse in the world.

See that yellow strip going down the pix? My $300 HP scanner has decided I need that on everything I scan. It didn't always feel this way but changed its mind about two months back.

Ya, I tried to fix that when I was touching-up the pic. Minimised it at least - when I colour-balanced it became more prominent so I tried to fix it. That's rather annoying about your scanner though - I suppose the warranty is long gone?

Warranty is long gone and I think the scanner is about to go. Oh well, I can buy a better one for less than $100 today. Everything I got I bought at the peak price, including that rotten little toy of a DC I have -- $550 down the tubes.

The trick with all computer-technology seems to be: wait as long as possible to buy anything, because 6 months later it will be being sold at 1/2 the cost or less!

I can't remember when I bought this rig I've got -- 3, 4, 5 years back. $2800 for computer, scanner and printer. Today if I could get 10% of that for all of it I think I'd be lucky.

I dont know about that Uncle...I have seen and smelled some pretty bad ones outside Jurez Mexico in the dead of the Texas/Mexican summer :barf: :barf: :barf: :barf:
