Hello and a question

I looked at the Code 4 knives online. They look great, right size and style for me. The only thing that concerns me is how thin it is. Maybe I'm just judging a book by its cover, but I feel like that wouldn't be as overbuilt as I would be wanting. As I said before, I have never held a ZT in hand so my reference is pictures and online videos. Am I just being ridiculous or would a different model be a better choice?

I own and frequently carry a Code 4 in spear point.

The blade is 3.5mm thick, and the handle I believe is 9mm thick, solid 6061 aluminum, no liners. It's super thin but plenty thick enough for anything. It's an extremely tough knife and probably offers one of the best strength to weight ratios in the industry. Opening and closing is smooth as grease.

On top of that, despite being very well built with flawless fit and finish, and perfectly designed, it's not even expensive. I spent around 70 bucks on mine.

Oh, and the tip is reinforced for strength. I strongly recommend the Code 4.

I probably should clarify my comment about thickness. I meant the thickness of the handle slabs. I carry a 551 Grip, which has scales around 16mm thick. Maybe I'm wrong with my thought but I feel like what I want is a knife that has a meaty handle and a good weight without being a sword to carry in my pocket. I had a Byrd Flight for a short time and that weighed around 5oz, which was good. I would even do 6oz if the knife was right.

The cold steel ain't gonna break. It holds 300 pounds on the lock and a grown man on the bend.

Yes it is weaker than a fixed blade but for most tasks...well let me put it this way: can YOU put 100 lbs of force on the knife with out standing on it?! It's not goanna give you problems.
