I have been into flashlights for quite some time, and have spent a few years on a popular light forum. I have been into knives since I was a boy, which is quite some time ago now. A few weeks ago the light forum was on the blink so I decided to look for a knife forum and found this site. I have been on it before, but had forgotten about it. It was like finding an old friend. I have a collection of 'good' and 'not so good' knives, including Benchmade, AG Russell, and a Lone Wolf T2 folder, Bucks etc. I read in years past about Chris Reeve knives, but never really paid any attention. Then I ended up here, this could be worse than flashlights for the bank accout. I ended up getting a Sebenza with Cocobolo inlays, S35V steel, was produced in February. I bought it off Northwest Blades. There was a little mishap with switched packages and my knife was sent clear across the country. I mention the name of the company only because I also want to mention the excellent customer service that started the day it was switched. I was immediately asked if I wanted my money back, the knife, etc. They got the knife back and sent it to me quickly, along with a few 'goodies' for the trouble. Excellent customer service. Anyway here are a few pics of the knife.

Welcome (back) to the forum and congratulations on the beautiful new knife.

Thats the way to start it off with a premium wood inlay large sebbie. That
knife will definitely make you a lifetime CRK fan.

I should also mention I can easily open mine one-handed. There seems to be alot of people with newer sebenza's who are having trouble getting their knives open one-handed.

Usually because there using the wrong technique.
The new sebenzas I've had all opened with ease and only took a week or two to fully brak in.

I do have a hard time opening my two 21`s too. I have owned Classics for five years now, so it is certainly not a case of a wrong opening technique here. The Classics simply open easier. And I would say that the reason for that is a stronger ball detent on the 21`s. The blades used to have a dimple in which the detent ball would rest in, but on the 21`s it is an actual hole.

I have sold a bunch of my lights, and made a second CRK purchase for a Bocote Mnandi. I alternate between these two knives, and each seems to fit perfectly for different occasions. I feel like I'm set - at least for the foreseeable future:)

Same here. And this is way more expensive!

Wow! No profane Idaho Made logo, yet it has the new blade steel. Hang on to that knife. It's a rare bird. You hit the jackpot.
