Hello all.... I've been a member on BF for a while now, but, I haven't posted much in that time.

I am recent convert to Busse knives after "Justabuyer" sent me a CGBATAC to check out.

I have to admit that I was a bit sceptical as to it's performance claims, but, Jim assured me that INFI lived up to it's hype.

So I did some work on it...

After I had finished modifying the knife (all the work was done by hand and sandpaper)... I was amazed at it's performance... the edge I was able to attain was beyond anything I had ever managed to get on the other knives I had modified.

Here is the finished knife...sorry about the dramatic photos..

I have recently been working on a FFFBM...no heavy mods though...just some edge refinement and polishing the spine.

I'm nearly finished making a sheath for the FFFBM...so I'll show some photos of that when it's done.

Glad to be here... and I have been enjoying the threads in this section of BF.

Cheers. :)

How long did it take to finish? Nearly tempted to try that myself. Sweet looking!

Too long..... seriously... I doubt that I would do it again.... unless it was a really small knife.... working INFI by hand with sandpaper is heavy work.

You just might want to consider a name change to: Steel_Monger.

That is excellent work. The edge looks 'scary sharp' and about as mirror-like as anything I have ever seen.

Fine, fine work. Thank you, very much, for the pictures.:cool:

Thanks Physics

I ended up with that handle because I "soup" things up.

It started a long time ago.

Glad you like the photos.

Holy Cow, man?! That looks fantastic!

I'll bet your PM box is filling now! ;)

That looks mint!!!

what are the handle slabs?

How does it handle now that it has been smoothed? I'd consider doing that myself!!!

Fantastic mod on that BATAC, well done!

Cheers PD.... dunno about the PM box though... I'll have to send some money for one of those...sooner rather than later I think. :)

The handle is the same handle it came with and I didn't remove the slabs to do the work.... so it is just a Blue/Black G10 Mag handle with the texture removed.....

Smoothing out the handle was the easy part and it is by far the most ergonomic knife I own.

Cheers.

AWESOME job! :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
You must be a very patient gentelman! The efect is amazing. Congrats!
