I am with Garth on this. Corrections guys know more about this subject then most, They deal with it day in and day out.Most of these facilities have a veritable smorgasbord of siezed/Confiscated weapons.

Not sure why any respected manufacturer would want to produce such an Item. Really. Why? Mine Detection? Come on. They make specialized tools and probes for that type of work.
 
brigade quartermaster also sells the "cia letter opener". you can check out their picture too.

easy to judge 1972 from 2007. Tell me about the 100,000+ who bought mine and lord only knows how many bought the copy cats. Judge them too? Wear a black robe do you?
 
Fire, in 22 years in the Army Reserves, eight in an Infantry Basic Training Battalion, and MOS'd in Ordnance and MP, I never saw a special tool for a land mine probe.

It was always "find a stick and take off all your metal including your dog tags." That way they had the tags to put on what was left. ;)

The Combat Engineers may have had something, but I bet it was diesel powered.

It was not my idea, talk to the man who called me and then I could not find. He worked at the UN. I would want something longer myself.
 
This "suposed" corrections officer, Lord help us, could easily have called the State Police, and definitely the FBI to get all the information he/they need ..... why turn here ....... hey, I got a bridge to sell .... just wash the kah-kah off ..... and it's just like new ....

I do feel so much safer knowing that you sold 100,00+ of those (whatever) over the years ....

I would hope that this ceased after we got attacked a few years back. Just because something is supposedly "legal" ... it doesn't make it morally right. Manufacturers and peddlers will produce and sell anything they can make a buck at.

I'm sure he was from the UN .. and you "lost" his phone number ...
Salesmen never lose numbers ... that's how they peddle their wares ..... any wares .. to anybody ....

Sounds like the type that would sell cartidge cases, primers, powder, and bullets to UBL, and then say ... well, it's legal .... it wasn't an assembled round ..... I didn't know what he wasn't going to do with that stuff ....

Coming to think that drug dealers have more scruples .....

welcome sigma_1966. how about filling out your profile a little better. sometimes it helps in getting replys and keeps paranoid people from making unnecessary remarks that get them nominated for a special award. ;):D
