Hello...oh...oh...oh

Blues, I wish you hadn't posted that cute picture - now I will appear as a mere mercenary, bloodthirsty curmudgeon, not the well-meaning scholar I am in reality.

Yea Blues - look at the arms on that thing!

If you see someone around here holding their dog by the collar furiously hosing the dogs mouth out, you can bet there's a Colorado river frog involved. The skin is poisonious.

Then why the $50 fee? That's 5 lbs. of western fightin' frog, waiting in ambush in a rock fox...er...froghole. Could be a cuzzin ;)

:
to get my Arizona Brother to pick one up and lick it.
I've heard they can give a person a mighty head rush.:D
But methinks as my Bro does that it be another type of frog I'm thinking of.

An interseting bit of trivia abouth the South American Poison Arrow or dart frogs is that fed a regular diet instead of the South American Ants they usually eat they lose their poison.
What's an interesting thought is that one of our daughter's that works in the reptile and amphib's dept at our local zoo either let some escape into the Rainforest Exhbit or deliberatly let a few lose in there.:D
The escaped frogs now have access to ants for their diet and we wonder if they have regained their poison.
I was out there one day and saw one wihin capture range. I admit I was slightly tempted, but common sense won out over curiosity.:D
They are pretty little things though. A beautful bright emerald green.:D

Bro Wal,

The only physical danger I would be in would come from placing the frog in my mouth. This is unlikely.
The wealth of practical information that would be available to Ganga Ram fans would be beyond price.

Bro Yvsa,

You thinking of tuning up the old bow?

:
And one I hadn't thought of. But I imagine Linda would have my hide and more if I were to try and experiement with her precious frogs.:D

Now I'm wondering how many a person would have to have to do about a dozen arrows. I'm not the shot with a bow I once was.:D

And I have a feeling that the nice Bois 'D Arc I have is gonna be well cured by the time I get around to making any bows from it, if I ever do.
I may wind up trading it to T-Bone for an older khukuri:D

Uncle Bill sez:

What's this got to do with khukuris?
You guessed it.

And we had a comment not long ago about why this forum is unusually friendly? Around here just about everything is treated as having something to do with khukuris, no matter how we get there.:) I guess the reason this forum is the way it is is just that we are all crazy. If you're uptight about "relevance" the Khukuri Kantina ain't the place to hang out.:D

Paul

The "Cantina" part comes from my observation the forum reminded me of the bar scene in the first "Star Wars". The one with all the aliens in it.

The comparison apparently struck a resounding chord with forumites. If aliens, yetis, and sasquatches were tolerated, then you could be who you are. Or whom you thought you were.

Prn,
"I'm different from you guys,I'm not crazy"! Rus is certified!,
Blues, is hopeless, That NDN,is NUTS, WAL,nobody knows what Was is!
Ater dealing with youse guys,he needs a day off!
