Just a quick note to introduce myself. I just signed up again and will be posting some pictures of knives for sale in the future. I am not at a computer that has photo capabilities so I will have to post pics later. I would invite all to take a look at my web site at www.woodchuckforge.com.

My name is Alvin Richards though I go by Chuck. I have been forging knives since 1993 and completed my ABS Journeyman Smith requirements in June of 2004. I just finished my Master Smith Performance test and intend to go to Atlanta in 2007 for fit and finish judging. I love making knives and especially Damascus. I hope to develope relationships with many new friends thru this forum.

I'd like to make a suggestion though, if I may - change your username. "bldsmith" is very similar to the username of another bladesmith that participates here regularly, so some readers may have a tough time distinguishing between the two of you.
 
I looked at your available knive and I must say they are stunning! The lines and fit look great. I wish that I did not have so many other knives in the mill as I would love to order from you today! My favorite was the 351 layer 6 inch blade, but I also liked the look of the 8.8 inch recurve. Steven
 
Welcome aboard!! You've got some serious skills, the high density radial pattern damascus is jaw dropping. I really look forward to seeing more of your pieces.

Welcome, Chuck! I believe we met at the Forging Clinic at Cal Poly Pomona - I was the hopeless case working at the front/middle forge! ;)

Chuck - I received the knife this weekend and I am really impressed. The fit and finish are great, the balance and feel of the knife are very natural, the grinds are clean and even and the damascus is very striking. I look forward to seeing more of your knives in the future and will be sure to stop by and say hello in Atlanta this June. Best of luck with the MS testing - if this knife is any indication, I think you'll have no problem passing.
 
Wulf . Just received your post. Thank you. i won't be in atlanta this year but in 2007. need more time to work on the dagger. Glad you like the knife. I will be posting more as I finish them. Thanks again
