Welcome RustyBones911
You've missed plenty!

Rubbish, nothing whatsoever has happened since 2004. Everything is exactly as it was then. You could seamlessly continue any conversations you were having then.

Everything remains completely static here on BF.

Sorry, couldn't resist. ;)

I tried to find pictures of the 10 or so HI Khuk's I've owned, but seems most of them have gone the same as the knives themselves. I did find a pic of my favorite, thought I don't remember the details of it, other than it being forward weighted. It used to be quite a challenge to get to Uncle Bill's knife of the day before it was sold. I look forward to starting my collection over. This picture is from maybe 10 years ago.

So where are all the old timers??

There was a member with a massive collection of antique khuks, who mailed out some prints years ago. Is he still around?

The only other person I remember is Yvsa, glad to see you're still kicking.

Some of the oldtimers still frequent this forum from time to time, others have left apparently for good. Some have walked west and others have their own reasons. I assume the gentleman you are referring to would be John Powell, I never was aquainted with him, but last i knew his health was such that he had to liquidate his collection. We have not seen him for quite awhile. We are happy and grateful for Edutsi Yvsa's continued presence here. He is a fountain of knowledge and history which is priceless.
