my trip to yosemite lasted for four days. most of the pictures are from the second day when i went on a 8 or 9 mile hike up nevada falls trail and back. this is my second time visiting yosemite, and i thought the first time was amazing, but its seems like its a place that gets better everytime you go.

What an amazing place! Great pics!!

Hope the Mama Griz was far away!! The HR wouldn't stand a chance against an angry Mama griz!!

What's there not to like? Beautiful Yosemite scenery and Busse Blades

Nice pics BTW. The little Black Bear looks like a cub. I will be heading there in the next few weeks.

Now that's what I'm talking about!!! Another Yosemite thread! Right on brother looks like you had a great time. The hike up to Nevada Falls can be pretty brutal. Did you go via the Mist Trail or did you bypass Vernal Falls and take the trail straight to Nevada? Either way...lots of beauty! Good shot of the little cub. There was one in our camp ground on the valley floor this year... lol, he had a pierced ear and everything!

Thanks for the pics and sharing them...great shots! BTW, anyone give you any crap or looks about having the HR stapped to your side?

Yeah the hike up Nevada Falls is quite a workout and the scenery is spectacular. But the hike up to Half Dome is even more strenuous. I would love to see someone lug a FFBM with a daypack full of water and food up to Half Dome ;) I am also curious about any funny looks from the sheeple.

The hike up to Half Dome is a great one. But one that is actually better is the North Rim Traverse. You go up the Yosemite Falls Trail and traverse that side of the Valley-heading east. There are just INSANE views across the Valley and then near the end back out of the Valley to the west. I did it in the spring when there was still some snow on the ground and I saw only two people all day once I passed the top Yosemite Falls.

It is longer than the Half Dome hike (20 miles rather than 16) but the terrain is not as relentless, so I’d say it is about the same physical challenge.

At Blade Skunk said he'd do it with me next year:cool:

actually no :D when i got up to nevada falls, a guy up there was interested in the knife and i showed it to him and let him hold it, he seemed really impressed. i did go up to nevada straight up bypassing vernal. it was pretty tough, and half dome did sound great, but the weather was so intense that a hike like that would likely be suicide.

Hmmm.... I have never tried the North Rim Traverse. Now I gotta give it a try! When will you be heading up there again? Perhaps a Busse Hiking/Trail Blazing get together???? Alright everyone bust out their INFI machete!!! Oh wait, there is NO Trail Blazing in Yosemite and INFI Machete does not exist! YET!

Great pics, thanks for sharing them! That is absolutely beautiful country...
