It is amazing how you can go through life and think you know a thing or two and then learn you know a lot less than ya think
I recently got a SYNW SS4 from a board member. What I did not know is that it had (or at least I think it had from reading here) a convex edge. When I got the knife it was not particularly sharp so I thought I would touch it up on my sharpmaker. Well that took some serious time and now I know the knife has a V profile.
Now what to do leave well enough alone or is there a way to get the original convex profile back? Can I use the sandpaper technique discussed here to return the knife to a convex?
Thanks for your input.
