So are the 1/300 more desirable? Were there only 300 made like this or is that the model of the BM?

Definitely some nice stuff, congrats.

Where did you get those nice scores?

btw, you are not allowed to ask about values, unless you are at least a Gold Level member:

"WHAT IS MY KNIFE / GADGET / SPATULA / TUNING FORK WORTH?!?!?!?!
In order to curtail potential abuse of membership privileges associated with the forums, questions regarding valuation of knives and collections are limited to those with a membership level which permits selling on this site. Accordingly, registered and basic members may not start or post in threads with such requests whether with the intent to sell or for informational purposes only. This rule applies throughout the site."

Welcome to the Busse forum at BladeForums! The first 300 SHBM's had the swedge, and if I remember correctly were hardened a little more than later ones. The earlier SHBM's had the screws in the handle, and later ones had the tube fasteners. Any of the SHBM's have a fairly high collector's value, even if they have been used. If you like it, keep it and use it - it is one of my favorites!

Ok, I am now a gold member so we can talk value. All of these knives have sheaths with them if that matters. What do you guys think the best way to find out more info on the SFNO is going to be? I can not find any knives matching that knife with a saber grind. Thanks for all of your help.

Searching the BFC exchange, I've found these results (Ball park figures) on a few simple searches. Mind you that some people may be asking high prices/low prices or may have sold it for less than what is listed. As I said, I just did some simple and basic searches and this does not mean the prices reflected are what I think they are worth, but what are listed in the exchange and if they are still there or have sold (When sold, people like to remove the prices making it difficult to know). I've tried to find the closest to what you have so some listed may be worth more than yours or not:

SHBM 1 of 300 Used - Priced at $1000 (Not Sold yet)
SHBM 1 of 300 New - Priced at $1600 (Not Sold yet)

Busse Basic 9 with kydex sheath New - $360 (Sold)

Satin Jack TAC (Embrace the Suck model, not yours) with sheath New - $400 (Not sold yet)
Satin Jack TAC Tan with Snakeskin New - $450 (Sold)
Satin Jack TAC Desert Sand with Tan G-10(?) New - $400 (Sold)

SFNO Satin with Tiger Hide Micarta New - $475 (Sold)
SFNO Satin Similar to yours but not sabre ground New - $500 (Sold)
SFNO Identical to yours but with Busse Logo New - $497 (Sold)

Now most of these are including shipping and may not reflect accurate "value". As it's been said, it's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I've seen the prices over the years and they tend to go up but I've also gotten some deals for a bro price. I would suggest you do as I did and go to the Busse Combat selling exchange here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php/804-Busse-Swamprat-Scrapyard-Knives-For-Sale and go to the "Search Forum" button in the upper right, below the announcements and use the key words to see what they have gone for and the dates. Older thread doesn't necessarily mean they should go for more now a days. Now I'm off to study some more as I stopped in for a break. The joys of online college. Good luck on your ventures and check your visitors message for the link to the SFNO

Mods: If this is against the rules, I do apologize. I read the rule and it seems that he ponied up the cash for gold so I can answer him(?). I couldn't email you the info so I'm posting it here.
