I have been EDC'n an older Queen Toothpick produced 6-7 years ago, since Tuesday, last. Its got some hair pop'n sharp D-2 steel too..

Aahhhhh, I like the mental visual you describe indeed jackknife!. You aren't far off either.. I have been shoot'n a little 8 ball-billiards with my pal Tim since all the rain started a few days back and has been keeping us lazy and from our work.. The pool table has green velvet and that is where my Queen was resting between shots. :D
 
GEC toothpick is a great user. I have the same model and carry it all the time. Fits great in the hand!
