I never had a gunner grip before, so I can't chime in on your sng.

Edit, taking a wild guess, yours is a replica due to m.strider logo, which should be on custom only, this knife doesn't look custom, just a regular gunner grip w flat ground blade.

I wouldn't never purchase a Strider off eBay myself, because the fakes are too good just not worth the doubt IMO.

Yeah right that one is a 80 dollar Kevin John I won in a poker game. But, it's very well made. So, I'd never chance certain knives off eBay unless it's a known dealer. I no doubt paid more for my SMF but I have the peace of mind knowing it wasn't made in China and sold for 50 or 60 dollars new.

Me too it's just nobody had the configuration that I wanted in stock, so I had to take a risk.

I'm telling you those damn clones are very close, I've seen a lot of them and had a few gave to me. They are solid sharp and would fool most people. I can't enjoy them though, just knowing what they are. Wouldn't sell one not even if I sold it as a fake and I don't want to use them. So, the few I have just set in a drawer as curiosities. We have CNC machining and the Chinese to thank for screwing up our hobby.

Here's another one I got for Xmas a year ago. A friend bought it for 60 bucks at a flea market. I said where'd you get this? She told me and I was like em, don't buy no more 60 dollar Striders at a flea market. She said wow, I thought I was getting a deal as good as it looked. Then I didn't feel so bad about only spending 50 on her.

Very true, it is crazy what counterfeiters can do at such a lower cost, have you seen expensive watch replicas? That why I am so worried about slightest difference that I have not seen before.

All the items made in China today, like high end TV's and the computers we are using right now, it's no wonder they can clone a knife.

I'm not an expert by any means on Striders, but I've never seen one with the two toned color on the back spacer, like in your picture rookie4real. Some of the fakes I've seen pictures of have looked like that. I myself would return it while I could, but that's just my opinion. The clones are very close but almost always have some small detail off. If you look at the two pictures I posted of the fakes, backspacers they have a layered look compared to my authentic SMF and yes both are still one piece.

Also I believe the logo is different on yours, than my real SMF, the sword looks like it extends further out on yours and the leafs are more distinct on yours towards the tips. Mine has five as yours does but, it is not the same on the tips. Mine was made in 2013 and I know it's real being it came direct from Monkey Edge. Looking at my actual knife against your picture, the sword on yours is longer and the tips different where they curve inwards. I don't know if Strider uses different logos or not.

Looking even closer the inward part of the logo on mine breaks even inline with the forth outer leaf, and the outer leafs are all pointed. I can't get a good close up picture showing the detail, but holding my knife up to your picture shows my logo is much more refined and just better detailed.

I have an SMF with the two-tone green G10 and have seen at least one other and both were legit.

Thanks for this info Brian, this confirmation I have been looking for.
I contacted the seller and he said that he guarantees the knife to 100% authentic, it was originally purchased through an authorized dealer.
Jill thank you for taking the time to upload photos and providing your input. Looks like Strider guys indeed using logo stamps with some variations, I was able to find these differences on photos from different authorized dealer site.

I'm glad they haven't cloned the SJ-75s yet so I know mine is 100% authentic. I've owned many SnG's so I know how their action and lock up feel like. I'd like to know
if the clones feel the same. Also I haven't seen a clone yet that matches the flamed TI like Strider does. Yes the two tone G10 is kind of odd but the texture of the G10 looks
to be right.
