Not an expert on fakes, but aside from the scale being at least being aftermarket, the logo and hardware look weird.

Something that caught my eye was the BOS stamp. I have never seen original Strider knives stamped with his logo. Maybe it will turn out to be legitimate.

That, sir is 100% not a Strider. Sorry. Hope you didn't pay too much for it.

So I have been bamboozled for $55 overall the knife feels solid and locks nice I’m done trying to find a good deal.

Looks like a fine knife to use tho the copies are sometimes built pretty good depending on who made it

^ The older Gen 1 Strider models, do have the "BOS" logo stamped on the blade. I have an older SMF Gen 1 that I got off another forum, sitting in front of me, but I'm unable to upload pictures. The "BOS" with that little flame logo to the left is at the top; below that, is the S 30V, and on the bottom, is U.S.A.. These 3 lines however, are all etched in at an angle (leaning to the right about a 3 & 12 pitch) leaning more in line with the radial choil.

Regardless, this sure looks like a fake/clone to me.

Edit: Here is an older thread, with an excellent picture of an older model with the BOS stamp. Mine however, the stamp in etched at an angle more in line with the choil.

Oh ok, thanks for the info. OP, sorry about your purchase turning out to be a bust.

Yea me too lol it still feels like a pretty solid knife it locks nice and has a nice balanced weight to it.

Regardless of it being a copy, it looks like you still got a decent deal as far as quality and appearance are concerned.

If you don’t think it is worth $55, why did you think it could have possibly been a real Strider?
I’m saying I don’t think it’s worth that after finding out it was fake I was in the moment when I bought it I thought it was real I never had a strider. I mean yea it’s solid it feels like a good knife. Actually the lock feels better than my one real spyderco and even opens smoother. I guess I’m just salty lol. But it’s going into the collection regardless I did score a real balisong the one year at the same flea market found it in a box of junk and got it for $10 only problem is the handle inlay was missing on one side.

I have a rule of thumb, that may help you from feeling this way in the future. If I am buying something that i think may not be what I think it is, I do not pay more than what the value would be for that item, if it turns out to not be what I think it is.
