HELP! benchmade mini rukus limited edition 615-1 looking for some info

i was given this knife as a "thank you" for my military service from one of my good friends. the box reads 615-1 mini rukus limited edition #7/100. i have tried looking it up on google, and not to much specific info pops up. i am looking for any info that you may have, thanks. brad.

i have seen that there are other mini rukus models that are numbered /250, /200 etc, and i was wanting to know if there are specific reasons for making so many limited edition models. is it because they can make more money on the knife if it says limited edition. just looking for ANY info you may have.
