Help ! Busse Handle material Question

The answer to the knife in question is oak.

Sometimes we get wood in and stabilize it, not knowing exactly what it is or what the back story is. Take maple for example, there are over 120 species of maple trees around the world. When we get it in all we are told is that it is maple. Same with oak. Some raw wood suppliers are really good about marking what something is and others, not so much. I guess we could put a generic "Stabilized Wood" for the handle info. Sometimes a cool piece of wood is just a cool piece of wood and that is all we know here as well. Personally I would rather say nothing if I don't know, than make something up. That being said, I will try to do a better job of stating what a material is, if I know.
