HELP: BusseCombat vs. SOG

and you can beat the warranty :D

(people still lift eyebrows when i tell them it applies to the wakazashi when they see it)

Especialy when they see the crazy crap your doing with it. If you were using the BM I got from you as a Dart, I wonder what the hell your using that AK for.

throwing isnt that bad for a blade... as long as its 3/16" plus.... and infi

i'd like to try so wooden dowel tamishigiri... (regular rice mat, with a wooden dowell in the center)

carefull. Things have a way of bouncing back
I remember throwing several knives against a large standing log that I had leaned against my fence with a thick plywood board behind it just in case I missed, which I did quite often. one of the knives (my timberline specwar) hit the tree trunk in a way that it bounced off it and right back at me. Luckily I was far enough away to see it and it stuck into the ground a couple of feet ahead of me.
The next time I was throwing this pakistani made POS Tanto against the same plywood board and smehow I threw it off to where it stuck and slapped the board sideways broke in half and the handle came back flying back at me. Missed me by several feet.
The third time I was agan throwing knives aganst the trunk and my SHBM glanced off the side of the tree trunk and made a beeline for my wifes large flower pot. CRACK!. shattered that POS flower pot (a really big one that weighed about 100 lbs full of dirt and stupid flowers.

lol to the stupid flowers :D

i have had throwing knives come straight at my head several times. had throwing bolts do the same. nothin like a 3lb modified bolt with a needle point chip the concrete behind you (at crotch level)

did i mention that i often throw knives barefoot? OH MAN. sharpening a 20" ang khola to 21 degree's on an edgepro apex in my underwear and barefoot. that was a whole lotta bad waiting to happen.

i cut down a pumpkin today. that was fun - the first cut sliced clean though, but didnt throw the pumpkin at all, so the top just sat there like nothing had happened, outside of a line going straight through the pumpkin.

course it was on a wobbly tripod of wood, so it fell over and split in 3 about 2 seconds later....

i cleanly severed the seeds inside wich was cool. the ak47 isnt to bad of a wood splitter :D not a that great of a chopper though... its long, but it just isnt the same as a blade heavy design like the battle mistress/a khukuri. (lol... yayaya, i know, "ITS A SWORD JACKASS!!!". you have to kill people in the woods to you know. assasins get snowed in like everybody else.

Standing further back would be better when throwing, but then the danger to the surrounding area goes up as I am more likely to miss, possibly impaling the neighbors dog or something like that. 18-25 ft is about my max throwing distance.
