Into folders but I need one good quality fixed blade that must look awesome. This knife must have a scout carry sheath or off the shelf upgrade. I am not into cold steel and have a budget of a max $400 for the knife. It wont be a user its a collection piece. Something lije a Lion steel T5 or M7.

What do you understand by "tactical" and what do you plan on really "doing" with the knife?

Dagger style? Double edge? Serrated? Sharpened prybar? Length? Stainless?

There are sooooo many knives out there under the tactical name that we are goong to need more information to make a good suggestion.

Not dagger style but a sawback would be ok not overly traditional or over the top zombie killer.
Something in between with a slight preference towards a satin steel over a coated blade. This is not a user knife its to be admired, but must be a good tool if three need arises. Kydex sheath is acceptable but I may change that to something like a hedgehog leather sheath (scout style).

Extrema Ratio Knives has nothing but radically awesome knives
However, one could do just as well with less ambitious tactical material...

Hi! This is my one and only truly “tactical” fixed blade, according to my own definition (I wouldn’t put my Fallknivens Bros, A1 and F1, into this category) :). I consider this as one of my “knives youthful mistakes” :p:D. Today it’s my son’s outdoor knife and it looks he’s really having fun with it when we’re in the woods together .

Though a tad too “tacticool” and, in the long run, uncomfortable in camp chores for me now (at my present level in my own sporting knives “learning curve” :D), I still really like the design, the outlook of it and believe the materials are more than decent. It doesn’t look bad as a show piece also, at least for my taste! It came with a rather good sheath which is possible to adapt to horizontal carry as well and, at that time, the price it was offered, was very well within your budget.

Besides this one, I agree Extrema Ratio produce some of the most attractive tactical/tacticool knives designs :p:D.

Welcome.

Why do you "quality" for a "collection piece" "that must look awesome"?

Seems that all you are looking for is "awesome" and there is nothing wrong with that.

We could throw out names all day, but since we don't know what you think "awesome" looks like, we are just making random guesses.

So here's my pick, the Opinel Mushroom knife. I think it's awesome.

Not sure if you watched that Extrema ratio video, but one of their knives looks like it has a pull through carbide sharpener built into the sheath every time you lut the knife in and out. I am actually ashamed of Extrema Ratio for putting a gimmick like that on one of their knives. It will totally destroy the edge.

Also Extrema Ratio’s knives often come with big square bulky sheaths that are only really feasible to put on MOLLE type gear, so to the OP you will have to get a custom sheath made.

Also I know you said you wouldn‘t carry the knife much but if you do get a custom sheath made be sure you can carry it on your hip as well. Because as cool as scout carry is, you can’t sit in a chair with it. Also you don’t want to slip on ice or something and land on your back when scout carrying.
