Help choosing a sharpening system

Robo1, I'd like to modify my suggestion. My complaints about the Lansky were called into question on another thread, and some of the points made were pretty eye-opening. So I decided to defend my complaints by trying it out again using only one rod for all 5 stones. I was pretty surprised. I'm going to put a short review of it on the Knife Reviews and Testing forum, but the short of it is that the system did perform adequately when only one rod was used. I judged the Lansky unfairly and I apologize to anyone I have offended with my comments. I still think the Apex is better, but its also muc more expensive. For you though, I would still suggest a Sharpmaker 204 to get started.
