Help choosing fixed blade

I could make you one of my Apex EDC knives in Zwear. 0.116 thick, exellent cutting geometry and 62HRC. Will hold an edge for a long time. And relatively stain resistant for a high carbon steel. I also work with stainless.

3.25-3.5 inch blade, 4 inch handle. 7.5 OAL.

200 shipped. Comes with kydex sheath and tek-lock. (I wear a large size glove)
This was my personal knife. I can make more, i have 4 blanks heat treated and ready for handles!

This was a model in Zfinit for a hunter. Dressed up with leopard wood. Was 260, which was more than you wanted to spend.

I can definately recommend Bradford knives ... the Guardian 4 is my favorite but the Guardian 3 or 3.5 are great knives to ...

another good suggestion I saw the Spyderco Mule ...

if you want a less expensive option Esee makes great knives ... the Izula II great small blades works like a bigger blade ... the Esee 3 and 4 are good options too.

Lionsteel makes some nice knives at a decent price they seem to be solid knives from their reviews from BF members ... but I haven't personally owned any of Lionsteel's fixed blades.

I was also going to suggest the Guardian 3 in M390. You said you cut a lot of cardboard at work, M390 is the king of cardboard(ok maybe not), it's edge retention is excellent. It's one of my favorites because while it won't hold its edge like Maxamet or even ZDP, it's much tougher(less brittle) so you don't have to baby it like those other ultra hard steels.

That said, Shannon's offer is a great one too. Zwear is a fantastic steel for an EDC fixed blade. I'd choose it over M390 for any sized fixed blade.
