Help: Fair price for Combat Troodon Red S/E ?

A buddy is wanting to sell me his Combat Troodon Red S/E with straight black blade. Like new. What is a fair price to pay? He wants $340 and BladeHQ has them new for $415. Wanting to EDC and not sure if the regular Troodon will be better?

New to the site and got the bug and appreciate all of the information found here.
