Thanks for the photo, beautiful blade. I actually tried bidding on a 1993 420HC Buck 192 tonight on eBay but lost. Ended up switching direction and ordering a more boring but tried and true Ka-Bar Becker BK16. Ultimately just more practical and cheaper for what I'm trying to do.
 
The BK-16 is a good knife. It should work for you.It doesn't seem to hit on the original preferences very well although it is a good knife.

Congrats! The Becker line are good knives, keep in mind they're not stainless so dry after use and wipe with mineral oil to avoid rust.
