Help for Storage of Knives

Please, I need the help and advice of the Forum please.

We live in The Woodlands, Tx (Houston), so hot and humid

I have kept my knives and short swords in long plastic storage boxes for years in the “Gun Room” in the house.

We keep our little 2-1/2 year old Granddaughter at our house several days/nights per week. Like all little ones she is curious and we want to protect her from getting into the knives. So.....

Would storing my knives and short swords in a Welders Job Box out in in our Storage Shed be OK?

The Shed has good ventilation but is not Air Conditioned. I do have 110 V and 220 V and Lights. This is metal Building/Shop of about 500 sq feet and is dry.

I thought about putting some desiccant packs in the Job Box and I also could put in a Hot Rod “Dehumidifier” like what we have in our Gun Cabinet.

Any thoughts and advice would be appreciated.

Is it possible to add a deadbolt type lock to the door? Key on the outside and turn knob on the inside.

I put these on the top outside of all the closet doors, when my son was little. Depending on how tall your wife is, might keep her out also.

Yes, and we have Ring Camera's for the Shed(s).
