I have this knife and can't the the blade sharp at all. Please help. I have tried stropping out of box. Then tried free hand with shapmaker stones. It seem to be getting worse. Boker Plus Newton Martin K-Bit Knife Fixed Blade (1.63" TiNi Plain) 02BO030 You can see it at BHQ. I'm outa ideas. I may have destroyed this knife.

There is almost no way to destroy a knife just by trying to sharpen it. The key is to make both sides of the edge meet in as refined of a line as suits your need or desire.

Are you sure you are matching the angle when you sharpen?

Try the sharpie trick. Mark just the edge bevels with a sharpie. If you are removing the sharpie then you are hitting the edge bevels.

Make sure you are removing any burr you produce. Keep the angle of your stropping matching or lower than the angle of the edge. use light strokes when sharpening and stropping.

Good Luck.

The sharpening basics don't change. There must be something you are not doing that H2O listed above... try it and report back.
