hey yall, i took the fat logs and cut back about2-3 inches on each side. for the most part there were no cracks, but there were 2 that i had to cut back a bit more. ( man-i dont know if its me or what, but i just got a new chainsaw blade holder ( what is it called) so that my cuts would be straight. I felt the old one was bent and it was time for a new one anyway. So I set up the logs and tried my darnest to cut a straight line. I can never seem to get it just right. Its almost always a a bit to abit more off(crooked cut)). Any way i got some wood sealer and applied it. Then i took the logs and put hem in a nice corner to await be cut up again. Thanks for all the info--marekz
