Its finally finished. I burned the handle and opened the cracks a little bit more with exacto knife. Finished with four coats of bee wax and olive oil mixture. Braid is flamish twist made with B50.

Well, I'll probably hang it on a bow rack I had at my home. Don't worry Moonw, I wont be using it Although it withstand the beechwood block

That's not why I was asking .

TBH, I pictured it hanging over a door or something, but now I was thinking that having it stuck into a miniature stump (yours is tehnically a quarter-of-a-stump, LOL) looks even better. But then you need to find a nice place for it. (And safe, if you have kids and pets running around .)

I don't know if it's (was) a staple of all the Eastern-European block, but going back a few generations everyone had impressive amounts of ceramic figurines displayed pretty much everywhere in their homes. I personally find this one much cooler.
