mmmm its definatly not that old, & after all Nepal is written in English, thats for round eyed tourists so mostly likely that means late 60s onwards.
Blade shape looks last 30 years to me. But also things can get to look old very fast in Nepal.
The coins are also sold to tourists, I got about 20 of all sorts with kukris & swords on for £2 in an expensive tourist trap shop in Pokhara.
These kukris are piled up in great heaps on evry market table or hawked by street vendors, often next to genuine but often worn out village kukris. The old army ones or any high quality old ones they only bring out from under the blankets & unwrap them if you refuse to buy the ones on show & start to walk away.
Should cost $5 in Nepal at very most, but if theyll usualy ask you for $30 or so first to see if your daft.
probably worth $35 in USA as a curiosity due to ingraving.. About $20 max in England.{lots more old kukris here.}
The Chinese export identical ones, although often the coins on them are fake, the leather is cured And the steel has a more even finnish.
