I must be the dumbest person on the face of the earth, but I can't get this damn thing off. The backside just keeps spinning. I've never seen those screws that didn't have a slot cut for a screwdriver. Tried heating it up and the sheath now has a bow to it, and it did nothing anyway. I'm down to trying to drill the screws out or cut slots in the back with my Dremel. I only had the knife for two hours, and it's already junk. I don't know if I'll be able to heat it up and repress it and get it to come out right or not. First I have to get this dame tek-lok off somehow.

Try using something like using a rubber glove, an eraser or something similar to apply friction and pressure against the back while you attempt to remove the screw.

I would take an Allen wrench just slightly too large to go all the way in and hammer it down into it.

I read on Brian Eno’s forum that some use blue loctite on the nut side to prevent the spinning and others just cut the slot like you suggested. This sounds like an older teklok.

If you have room for a couple of thread turns on opposite side: (disregard if not)
Put a nut on a screw- put the screw from the opposite side and tighten the nut, then unscrew from the other side.

If you plan to replace the hardware- using an EZ-out might be the easiest thing.

I tried that, and a rubber jar opener. It helps a little but not enough to break it loose

working on that now, can't seem to find a screw with the exact threads. I seem to have everything else
