I ordered a WSK from Roger almost two years ago now, last August he sent me pictures of the profiled blade, and now its almost a year later and HE WILL NOT RESPOND TO THE 100 EMAILS I HAVE SENT HIM. I have payed in full and have waited almost four years for a custom WSK, I cant help but feel like after I sent him the money he just figured he didnt have to send me my knife. So please any colleaugues' of Rogers or friends I dont know if he changed his email or what, but I would like to call and talk to him like, not scream, just talk, and if you would wrather email it to me so its not there for everyone to see, thats fine, im not going to give it out.... I just want my knife, and Im pretty sure you can empathize with me, if not sympathize. Thanks.

Sorry to hear about that. I am going to have a look at those posts you guys recommend reading. I guess that paying up front for something that still needs to be done... is just risky. Every time I buy online and overseas I do pay up front, but the items I want are in stock and they just need to send them. If something needs to be done ... why don't you just wait to send your money when it is ready to be shipped?
If it is a weird custom... you may have to pay a percentage up front, but not the 100%. If he is selling WSK's in a regular basis... he shouldn't charge you any before sending it.

I never charge up front. I take an order and put you on "the list" to build you something. Then I notify you when I start. When the project is 50% done I notify you again so you can get ready to send funds. I think a knife maker asks for trouble by taking payment in full months or even years before he can deliver.....
