Help I can't decide

Another vote for the HEST. I got a HEST and the RC (ESEE)4. I always take the HEST whether for EDC or hiking (ok, sometimes I take both.)

Your problem is not which one to get, it's which one to start with. You'll get them all, eventually!!

I started with a 3 then got a 6 and now have an Izula too I EDC the Izula and use the RC 3 while Camping. The 6 is for when the TSHTF.

I have a 3 on the way (almost). Am I subject to follow the same trend, roninm4?
I AM VERY excited for it to arrive!!

I'm actually cut off from purchasing more knives. I need a G17 before my knife addiction can continue!!
I wen t to my buddies and handled his and was reminded of how much I love Glocks.

By Jay I assume you mean Warriors?
Does he not have the color you want?

I was leaning to the HEST but he is sold out, then he sold out the rc 3 that he had on sale.
If they are the same price then I will take the rc 4

I'm quite partial to the HEST and ESEE-4. I thought I wouldn't like the thicker blades that they have, but there it is.

The Izula and RC-3 are tied for first runner-up. With probably the Izula having a slight advantage in my mind.

I got the RC4 first. It suits my needs for a woods/camp knife, and does not look too conspicuous on the belt for EDC - the sheath looks way different than most. If I had to pick one for EDC/Woods use, it would probably be the HEST - way more daily-use features. I find the Izula a little small for my daily needs, and the 4 a little big on the belt for true EDC. I usually carry a folder in-pocket, and the 4 in my laptop bag.
Of course, when you're out in the coastal rainforest, you'll want a Lite Machete or Junglas as a companion. So, yah, you'll pretty much end up buying them all.

I just found out that the HEST is back in stock so, that is what I am going to pick up this week

How does the rc 4 compare to the bravo 1 in size and thickness?
I've got a bravo 1

I, too have a Bravo-1 (actually I have 2). Go with the H.E.S.T, aside from the detrimental bottle opener (enough squeaking yet, Jeff?), it's actually a really nice knife and it fills a void in knife features with its short thick blade.

I've handled the RC-4 and find the handle a bit short for my liking, and while a really nice knife, it wouldn't offer me anything significantly different than my Bravos. It's approximately the same length, but the spine is thinner. Flat grind vs full convex.

Doesn't mean I won't get one, though. :o

Doc

I had a chance to hold both the RC 3 and the HEST.
I chose the HEST because I found it's handle fit my hand better.
I loved the blade on the RC 3 and would have snapped it up in a second if the handle was a little longer.
Hopefully I can play with the HEST this weekend
