Help...I can't get my Raven in my pocket...

First time here on the Emerson forum...at least as a poster. Well, I've got lots of knives but I recently purchased my first Emerson...a Raven. Unfortunately, I'm having a problem with it.

The knife is well made...I like the looks of it...and when it's open the grip, the blade shape, everything...close to perfect. Now to my problem. I've had a bit of trouble getting accustomed to the disk and I was not happy at first. It was a bit awkward (and slow) at first...but I'm speeding up with it (practice you know).

What I'm not getting better at, however, is putting the thing in my pocket. Because of the slight protrusion of the disk...and it's location which is close to the end of the clip (when closed)...I can't get the thing in my pocket without some contortions and the use of both hands. Coming out is no problem...but getting it in is such a pain...I'm not sure I can adjust. Is there some trick to this? Will I get better? Am I doomed to a two hand clipping motion? I really can't stand this...but I like the knife otherwise. A shorter pocket clip would probably have solved the problem, but....

Anyway...any suggestions, techniques, etc. would be appreciated 'cause I'd like to put this knife in my rotation...

Bend the clip out a bit?

I experianced a similar problem with my raven when I first purchased it. What I learned to do was pull the clip out a litle when puting it in my pocket. After awhile the clip came out a little and it worked fine after that.

why are you hiding your knife in clothing??

go native and let the emerson speak for itself...
