There are at least 3 different Sage models so you could find out which one he has and buy a different one.

For that matter there are a lot of different Delica variations available so you could easily buy a different one from what he already has.
 
He might like the Perrin PPT. It's at the upper end of your range but a great knife. If you can find one a Walker would probably work as well.

If the length of the blade isn't an issue, the Caly 3.5 is a great knife.

If you can find it, a carbon fiber Native is just a great, sweet looking knife. And everyone should have a swiss army knife. Important as well for places he may travel to they don't allow locking knives.
