HELP..... I think I may need therapy..

Has anyone else fell off the wagon and drifted back to the other side of the fence ?

Yup. Fell off that wagon many times; a lot of my slipjoints are used at my bench now, for whittling, but my Case large CV Stockman still gets a lot of pocket time. Of late, I've been going back to my inexpensive tacticals more - Camillus Heat, CRKT Carson M4, S&W HRT - simply because my cutting jobs have been bigger.

thx - cpr

I fell off the wagon this week as a matter of fact. I placed my usual slippie in the left front pocket and then decided(maybe I thought WWIII was gonna break out or something) to put a tacticool (which remain nameless) in the right front. At work that day I reached for my slippie, decided I didn't want to bother taking off my glove to get in the pocket, and went for the tacticool, used it and repaced it clipped to the right pocket. That's when I felt the pain....AND the trickle of blood down my right thigh. The thumbstud must have caught in the pocket seam when I was repocketing the knife and the blade opened about 45 degrees neatly slicing my upper thigh. The slipjoint gods have spoken, I will transgress no more.:o

I understand. I pretty much sold or gave away all of my non-traditional folders (mostly Benchmades). I do regret now selling the mini griptilians. I think some time this year, I will pick up a Benchmade 555HG mini grip to use when fishing around saltwater as the 154CM was pretty rust resistant. It will also come in handy for those times when I need to open it one handed while I have a paddle or rod in the other hand. Those mini grips were lovely little knives.

I'm happy to say I've stayed loyal. Ever since I sold off most of my tacticals and bought a bunch of slipjoints with the money, I've been toatin' a traditional. I made a good choice.

As of late I have been liquidating some of my knives in order to focus on my one true love, Early red bone Case knives and select vintage knives from other makers... Everything was going great until a few days ago...

Buy 2 Sod Busters and call me in the morning :D

Carpenter's jeans are my favorite because they have many pockets. Especially that slim pocket along the side of the leg, I spend some time making sure I got all of my knives out at night.

Did you know that the Faded Glory brand carpenter jeans at Wal Mart have another pocket on the left leg below the hammer loop? Room for a couple more. :D
