Found this little guy while on a backpacking trip earlier this week, covered with rust. Once cleaned up a bit, the only markings I can find is "AA". Anyone familiar with this blade or have any info? Thank you.

Obviously not a production knife. But not a pro maker either. Looks like a hobbyest maker. That's going to make finding anything out about it harder.

Really, not a bad looking little knife. Looks like a good user. Somebody cried when they lost it.

No info, but that knife is not too shabby at all.

As above, a sad loss for someone.....

Thanks much for the help, all. On my way back from the trip as soon as I got cell service, AA Forge was one of the first places I looked. There are some similarities, but not nearly so refined and makers mark differs. But wouldn't that be a score. Can't help but feel bad for the dude that lost it, thought I lost a Fallkniven F1 while out mushroom hunting one day, was not a pleasant feeling. I now take an Opinel or Mora, lol.

You know, looking at that mark, it might be a double strike, as I think I see a dot below one A. It might be an early attempt or a design prototype by Adam at AA. Why don't you email him a photo and ask.

I shot a text to Adam and hopefully he will show up with some info, if he has any.

The profile reminds me of a JK, but it wouldn't have the AA.

Thanks for checking, Adam. Gotta admit I'm a little disappointed though, lol. Anyways, seems to be a very sturdy knife, will find a use for it for sure. Just need to get a decent sheath as the one it was in is crap. Once again, thanks everyone.

No idea who the maker is, but I like the look of the knife. It would make a great little trail knife, and I am sure someone is missing it.

Heh....understatement. I bet when someone got home and discovered it missing....he/she shit a brick. I can just imagine the shrieking and caterwauling. What a nifty little knife.
