Well I do not have any pictures so I will describe best I can.

- as big as a Swiss Classic but a bit less wide, a touch longer, and less rounded on the edges.
- it is made from a Gold Frame, I may of heard them say 18 carat, but they could be wrong.
- the sides seem to be onyx
- there is a square gold (or may of been silver) shield on one side... I think the symbol was something like the prongs of a trident.
- 3 small blades kind of like a small Case Trapper.
- The quality is perfect, there is not one slight detail I could find bad.
- they were asking for $400, but they could be off.

I saw this at an antique shop and looked at it a while, but failed to ask for more info on it, it is to far to just go and take another look. I normally can identify unfamiliar knives by Google searching some of the details until I find a pic of it, however I can not find anything remotely close to it. I have a felling it could be a Jewelers knife, but in that case $400 seems cheap (but I am not well read in that area).

I am out of luck looking so far. Anyone have any ideas? If you have pictures or links I would gladly look.

It was not uncommon for knife manufacturers to supply "skeleton knives" to jewelers. This would be a fully assembled frame, blades, and springs. The jeweler would supply the outer coverings.

The frame and such would be steel. The covers would be gold or silver, or some other spiffy stuff.

I have heard about this before. That seems possible but I am not sure. I guess I am just going to have to go and take a look at it again when I am in that area, maybe take a few pictures.
Thanks for the response
