Help identifying please

I bought this knife at an estate sale, and have no idea where it came from. I just know it’s a gaucho knife, but I could be wrong about that as well! Any information would be so

appreciated

I think the round bolster makes it Brasilian rather than Argentinian.
The sheath material looks exotic. Is there such an animal as a white shark or ray?

The whole knife is German? The yarn I've heard is that blades were imported and then mounted the South American way.

If OP adds "gaucho" to his title, he might draw some specialists.
