Help me choose between Native 5/Chaparral/Grip

I have a chaparral and a regular mini grip. The mini grip is more fun to play with. Super smooth and the axis lock is great. The chaparral has incredible fit an finish (best of all my knives). It slices better (VERY well) and the carbon fiber is very cool looking. Both are great knives, just decide on your priorities.

You know you want it:D

What I would do is get an M4 mini grip, or hold out for a maxamet native 5... or both.

I've had all 3 of the knives in question in various configurations (Chap CF, Native5 frn, Native5 G10, Minigrip Sheepsfoot, Minigrip Drop point), and now I only have the Chap. Best slicer of the lot, and fits in the coin pocket.

can you wrist flick the chap?

can you wrist flick the chap?

Even with my big hands I can thumb flick my Chap but it's not easy or enjoyable like the axis lock knives. IMO, if you like to play with your knives (open, close, open, close, open, close) and who doesn't, the axis lock is hard to beat. For ease of opening and closing the Chap doesn't compare.
I'm not knocking the Chap, I love mine

Get the Grip. Get the sheepsfoot with the hole.

It will appeal to your vanity, the Axis lock is funner than hell, and it comes in great materials.

You want to wrist flick a knife open? Then the Axis lock will quickly become your favorite invention, right after the gas-powered blender.

How did you know I have a thing for gas powered blenders?
I am ordering the Grip sheepsfoot....to start. I may order the chap for when I am in LA. I fly back and forth, so I have a great excuse for two EDC kits. SF has been just my Leatherman wave for the last month for blades.

Thank you everyone for the input. Im gonna take the plunge into quality knives. Been a flashlight nerd for quite awhile. Ordering the mini grip in G10 sheepsfoot to start. Chap will probably be right behind it. Has anyone seen the new Native 5 in fluted titanium

I'm going to toss the Spyderco sage 3 based on your mix between chaparral and mini grip. But the Native knifes have a permanent spot in my collection. Several in fact.

Per your recommendation, I also ordered a sage 3 off the exchange. I am pumped to have this knife on the way.
