Help me choose between these two

Sage 5 Salt Magnacut/FRN

Delica 4 LW K390/FRN

I have a bunch of delicas & no Sage's. I just love the idea of a delica with a FFG & K390.
 
Sage for me. I like the looks and the ergonomics and while i know k390 is a better steel, a nice shiny magnacut blade next to the spotty k390 is more attractive esp for food.
 
The obvious choice is the Sage, unless you’re going for a wide selection of Delica’s in your collection, which isn’t a bad thing either.

The Wharncliffe and Serrated K390 variants are discontinued but the PE version is still regular production.
 
I think you made an excellent choice as the Taichung models are like owning a custom made folder at a very low price. This little sister, the amazing Chaparral is my favorite folder and the design is very similar to your larger Sage with a different locking system. I think you are going to really like this one.

However a Delica sporting K390 is something to behold. It is an eerie steel that holds an edge to mythical levels. Mine has developed a slight patina.

Also have a couple Dragonflies in K390 another folder with a similar design ergonomically to the Sage and Chaparral with the finger choil. Like the Dragonfly so much that I recently received one from DLT in Spy27 and it is superb with zero lock rock, a real flagship for the ultralight hiker.

Don’t mind me but I’m patiently waiting for the Chaparral XL with a super thin blade like the Chaparral. Word around the campfire is this is a dream coming true. I don’t think we are done yet. lol
