OH, BOY. So. I have been drooling over my Custom Dozier folder for a few months. Its amazing. I just can help but feel a little bit empty inside not carrying a CRK . So I might move it.

Please let me know your thoughts. I have been there done that with the 21. And Im really leaning toward the Natural Micarta Inkosi Insingo or Drop Point. I never liked sheeps foot style blades so that is new as for me but it seems to be calling.

Please vote and explain your reason below if you have the time. Sorry for the rushed post. Busy as usual! I feel if the Inkosi is truly tougher than the 21 that is what I should go for. Plain titanium is an option but dang that Micarta looks nice to me.

My gut instinct says Ink-Insing-Nat-Micart. :)

Go with your gut, Bella.

I sold or traded away all my CRK's last year, and reaalllly regretted it. Of the few that I had, I most appreciated the insingo blade shape, and the inkosi frame. As such, I recently put together the scratch to get another CRK, and picked up an inkosi insingo. It is inbound from Australia, and I can hardly wait. So my recommendation is not based on actual, in-hand, side by side comparison, but rather the 'night before Christmas' feeling that you get when waiting on the mail.

I do know the sebenza insingo and inkosi insingo blades are ground differently. Don't care. Love the sheepsfoot blade.

I'd get the Insingo Inkosi with natural micarta. I like the Insingo blade shape more and more the more I use it.
There are and have been some good deals on the CRK fs forum recently. I just got a lnib large Inkosi Insingo with grey micarta for a good price.
DLT has large pj inkos'si in stock now.

Once you get 1 insingo you'll Have to have More!....I have 3.

This one. Natural Micarta or black Micarta is your choice. All choices are great but every time I look at the insingo blade I admire it. Good luck. 5788663E-5B93-4748-A613-153C0ACEFAB0.jpeg

Hmm. Thanks. Looks like I buy a new PJ Insingo Inkosi for $450 shipped or watch for micarta on the secondary market.

KnivesShipFree has them in stock, looks like they have several to choose from.
Let us know which one you get.

If you favor micarta, hold out for it by stalking the exchange or saving the extra C. Get what you want.

Of your choices, I vote insingo micarta Inkosi.

The Crosshatch seems to be the outlier in you options? I personally prefer the seb 21 to the inkosi.

Given this I voted for the Crosshatch. I have had one and like the pattern/texture of the scales, kind-of like a "nicer" version of the Wilson Combat version.

Have you considered a Wilson Combat inkosi? That might be my recommendation based on your preferences

Thanks for the help folks.

There is no doubt I want to try the Inkosi and more than likely the natural micarta Insingo Heck worst case I buy one in person from the knife show at years end.

We will see. I don't want to sell my Dozier. It would be so easy for me to call up KSF Monday. Tough choices

I would definitely go with an Inkozi. As far as Insingo or drop point, I'm not going to be much help. I have a lg. Inkozi Insingo & a Sebenza 25 (Sorta like an Inkozi), in drop point & one or the other is in my pocket every day. I haven't really noticed an advantage in one blade type over the other in my daily cutting chores.

And.....the obligatory pics:

Very nice. So you don't think one cuts better than the other. Or one has some sort of advantage? I like having a pointy tip but enjoy the looks of the Insingo.

The Insingo blade shape may hold a slight advantage when slicing, say, an apple, or something like that. The drop point will do the same task, but you'll need to change the blade angle as you're cutting. Other than that, I think both blade shapes perform equally well. Which one looks better is purely subjective & I've been known to change my mind on that halfway through the day. :)

That's exactly the problem. I like both blades. Hmm.

I had a black micarta insingo inkosi. It was a nice looking knife and felt great but then my tastes changed and I prefer the non-inlay models now.

I ended up with a Large Wilson Combat Inkosi and really like it.

I love that. It's an option actually. If I decide not to get the Insingo.

In fact you might have picked out the one I will get.
