Hi everyone new on the forum.

I can't decide which one to get
The Spyderco Techno or the
DPx Gear Heat(titanium handles)
Which one would you prefer and why?cons and pros of both knife.

Thanks in advance and hope to learn a lot from everybody

Haha, two very, very different knives. What are you going to use them for?

As a fan of spyderco, i would choose spyderco.
why ? simply because spyderco has been proven to produce a great knife :D
just heard about DPx though, so cant say anything about it. sorry for bias answer :D

I will be using the lucky one for everything especially Dairy Farm related. So it have to be a tough one.

Id go for the techno.
I havent had the heat had a hest. The lock break in took alot longer and in the end had the slightest up and down movement.
Had a techno was perfect like the ergos and overbuiltness of that little guy. But thats just my experience with the two brands and honestly my dpx could have just been a one in a thousand dud.

Go with the DPX heat. They make solid knives and unlike a lot of brands they have a solid warranty.

I recently got a Techno - but at the moment its delegated to Safe Queen status :D

Personally I'd get the DPx Gear HEAT. Made by Lionsteel, attention to detail as well as fit and finish will be top notch. Has a glass breaker and a bottle cap opener which the Techno doesn't have. The Techno is no slouch either, quality is there as well, it has a slightly longer blade, weighs less and costs less.

For me where I work, the 2.5" blade length law matters, which is also why I would choose the DPx Heat since it comes in under at 2.25" vs the 2.55" Techno. I'd rather be under vs over and not have to worry about the consequences of a by the book cop that wants to nit pick over 0.05" and loose a $200 knife.

Can't really go wrong with either, I just feel the Dpx Heat can do more than just cut things vs the Spyderco Tecnho. If blade length is not a issue, for the same money I would pick up a ZT 0900 over the Techno.
