Help me come up with a name for my show...

Sounds like a heckuva gig you got going there Dylside! I'm sure I'l be tuning in when it comes out. :thumbup:
 
Before everyone pats me on the back this early it should be known all TV and the producers/networks are very crappy to deal with and flaky as can be. Right now, all of this is a great idea and certainly is showing more promise than some of the other potential shows that have gone before the network bigwigs, but there's definitely no garantee that it'll work out. It's REALLY REALLY hard to get a show off the ground that will have any kind of future.

When I said that I was a guest on the sports show, what I didn't go into was that after i did the show a few times, the producer and the network both wanted me to sign contracts to become the host of the show. After a month of going back and forth, working out the details, they decided that they wanted to scrap that show and start a new one the following seasons called "The Fast Life".

We worked on negotiations, promo stuff, sponsor deals, made pilot shows, etc. After all that, the funding just wasn't there and the network we were going with just couldn't get their shit together. The project ended up being scrapped and I went back to my day job.

After that, the producer I was working with went to a new network and pitched a good show to them that looked promising too. The premise of that show was that he and I were going to travel around and hang out with various famous bands in their spare time and backstage and show the public what these people were like when they weren't on stage. Sounded great, but a bunch of really hard and sudden family stuff kept the producer from being able to be involved enough to get the show going, so it was scrapped.

Now we have this. I'm not new to this process anymore and I know what is involved and what it takes to get shows going and keep them going. Hopefully this one goes somewhere and gets on the air and thrives, but I know how iffy all this stuff can be, having gone through it before, so while I hope it all works out and takes off, I'm not getting too excited.

It could be actually GEAR if gear was an acronym that meant cool stuff thats being tested ... Gear Eagerly and Adventurously Ripped ... (no, I know it doesn't work, but you get what I mean ...)
 
dude that sounds like a cool show, and even cooler that you get to host (if it gets to production of course). Congrats. I'm not creative enough to help with names though.
