Trying to decide on a larger folder for work. Narrowed it down to the police, military or endura. Any suggestions? If anyone has side by side pics of any of these that may be helpful for size comparision. Thanks!!

How much do you want to spend is the first question..? Military's brand new run about $120 unless you pick one up off the secondary market. Endura's usually run about $60-70 new..
Do you prefer g10 over frn? I personally would spend the $ and go millie..but that's just me.

I could swing the cost of either of these. I like both g-10 and frn handle materials, although if i had to decide between the two i'd probably go with g-10, has a stronger feel to it. I also feel that spyderco knives with g-10 handles tend to be a bit higher quality.

WE have no way of knowing what you mean by a "knife for work". Do you work in an office, or are you a carpenter?

The Endura is a lot cheaper, lighter, and has a great slicing and piercing blade.

FRN ain't no joke BTW...I've read stories about FRN knives taking serious falls from scary heights and being just fine..
DocT has a point though..I don't think people would be too happy if you pulled out a 4" millie in an office setting..not that the enduras blade is much shorter though.. 4" v 3.75".

Don't get me wrong, frn is great, i have three delicas and i love them. Looking for something a bit larger to clip to the inside of my boot, i'm on a police motor unit.

I've only handled the Endura and the Milie, but I'd recommend the Military. If you're carrying it in your boot, the tip-down configuration will feel safer (though, to be fair, you can switch both of the others into tip-down), but more importantly, the one-hand open/close on the Military is easier than either of the backlocks.

Here's a pic, too.

All three are excellent knives and they are all favorites of mine. The military probably has the best ergonomics of the bunch and I prefer s30v to vg10. The Endura is likely the best deal for the money and is a great knife in every regard. The Police is simply one of the most iconic classics that Spyderco makes. My gut reaction is to tell you to get a Millie but you really can't go wrong no matter which you choose.

i don't no about the office! but the PM2 would be grate for every thing else, and for 125 to 140 its a outstanding knife,if i had to pick just one!PM2 would be it.

Thanks for the input guys. I already have a para 2 which can certain fill the roll. I think i'm just looking for an excuse to get a new knife haha. I am usually a small knife guy ie. small sebenza, delica, dragonfly but i want to try out a larger knife. All three contenders would be bigger than any thing i've carried before. My "large" knives right now are my para 2 and a few large sebenzas.

Of the 3 I have a Military and an older tip down only serrated stainless Police.

I prefer the Military, it is my favorite and my work knife. I do love my Police, it is in my pocket right now, the Military is just my perfect knife.

Crappy cell pick with a PM2 thrown in.

Thanks for the pic todd. Glad you included the para 2. I'm familiar with that one so it's a great size reference for me.

Here is a Resilience on a Mili on an Endura, I prefer the Mili for winter, it is a breeze to use with gloves. The Endura is the large blade I carry when wearing sweats or elastic waist pants because its so light.

If you want a knife you don't feel bad about beating up I'd get a Endura (my current work knife). I just picked one up LNIB Endura 4 ffg and can't find any signs of use, factory edge too for $45 so if you look you could get a couple and still have money left over instead of a military. S30V is the better steel though vg10 is very easy to sharpen.
Have you looked into the Manix 2? G10/S30V or FRCP/S110v for around $100, very solid knife and my personal favorite spydie lock.
FWIW the Police 3 was the only spydie of around 20 I've owned that never quite felt right in my hand. It's basically a larger G10 endurance as far as blade shape and overall feel go but the FRN Endura is very ergonomic, for me anyway. I've never handled a military so I can't comment on that.

If you are planning to carry inside boot you might consider going with one of the lockbacks as they would have less chance of unintentionally opening on you.

Yeah, i'm really starting to lean towards the endura. At the cost i don't think i would be overly concerned about knocking it around, scuffing it up and using it.

Or even potentially losing it. I look at my Pacific Salt the same way. It is a pure user and I probably love it more than any of my other Spydercos for that very reason. But if I drop it in the ocean tomorrow, I'll just go buy another for $70...and thats part of the reason I use it and love it so much, if that makes sense.
