Help me decide if I should sell or use my M390 Mini Grip 61 of 200 limited edition

I bought one of the limited edition M390 mini Grips a while back and was going through my collection and realized that I've never even carried it, let alone use it, it feels reasonable in hand, the handle is a bit small but not as bad as the Delica was. I usually carry my BM 585 mini barrage in 154CM and love it, but recently decided it was a bit too thick to wear in my pocket in uniform and swapped it for a Spyderco Endura 4 FFG in VG-10 during work and my BM 585 after hours. But I am going through a bit of a Goldilocks moment and decided the 585 is too thick and the Endura is too long in my pocket. I am now looking at this mini-grip trying to decide if I want to use a limited knife or do I sell it to someone and drop money on something else that isn't so uncommon like a 710 or a Paramilitary 2 or something else? How much is this thing worth? I believe I paid $90 for it. I prefer a knife that is easier to sharpen but very tough, I LOVE 154CM and VG-10, S30V is decent but I have a hell of a time getting a reasonable edge on it.

Knives I have but no longer carry:
SOG Flash I (too small, I also cracked the handle trying to cut a piece of cable)
Spyderco Delica (blade was great, but handle was too small for my hands)
SOG Twitch II (slick sides don't work well with gloves or sweaty hands)
Kershaw Skyline (good size knife, but its just not my cup of tea, fell disinterested with it)
Spyderco Native (Nearly a perfect knife for me, but I don't care for the wasted blade length for the finger choil instead of extending the edge)
Cold Steel Mini AK47 (Loved it, until I broke it. It's suppose to be an insanely strong knife, apparently not, I chipped a 1" portion of the edge off [yes sarcasm, I abused the hell out of it])

Sorry for the long winded post without really asking much, but I am tired of searching for hours online and not really having any idea what to do.

Thanks,
Alex

If I were you, I'd sell it. Whenever I find that a knife isn't getting used for an extended period, I generally sell it.

I say use it. M390 steel is one of those steels that is meant to be used hard. I think you'd be happy with its performance

If you're at that point where you "dont care about it" enough to wanna sell,
beat the hell out of it!

Sell it and buy a cf mini onslaught. The its got M390 and is thinner I think. But I just really want one so I might be biased

Well, if you want to sell it, get a gold membership and put it up for sale in the exchange. Otherwise, use some discretion as your first post might be misconstrued as a veiled sales attempt. As for the steel, if you plan on using knives in the forseeable future, you might want to invest in some sharpening equipment of some sort. Sharpening a knife is a good skill to have, it takes time to learn (just like many things in life). Keeping your cutting tools sharp with an occassional touch up is not hard.

It's a pocket knife, not a punching bag or a fixed blade. Please.

It's actually D2, not M390.

Ah sorry about the gold thing, I didn't realize, how about I get gold, can I then ask about the value?

Ok I just paid the $25, it doesn't seem to have taken affect yet. Sorry folks, what do I have to do to get it active?

Under 'My settings', go to 'My account' and then to Permission Groups. Simply click on Gold member to be recognized as a member of that group and you will be set. :D

Welcome to Bladeforums!!

Thanks a bunch Shadow213! I promise I wasn't trying to break dem der rools.... I figure I'd just do the right thing.

Glad to help out....hope you find the info that you're looking for and when you do, you can put your BM up for sale at the exchange, if you decide to do so. ;)

I'll make up my mind once I get an idea of its value, there are none for sale on ebay that I can find, and I can't seem to find any recent sale info online. Maybe Ill just offer a bunch of my unused knives up for trade and see if I can flip flop some around to get more of what I like.

I'm pretty sure I saw one sell a week or so back on the exchange if you're looking for value, but besides that one haven't seen one for awhile.

I sold two limited knives on Monday. They really don't carry any extra value for me. When you have knife you don't use for some reason, sell it and get something you hanker after. Maybe not the best advice, but that's what I did. I'm happy now, for a while anyway.

I got my M390 mini grip for my birthday 11-10-10. I picked number 110 :p
I used it the next day to pop of the water covers off my uncle's car battery and got permanent black spots on the blade from battery acid I guess. Instantly ruined any second hand value it might have had.
So it's been my around the house cutter I carry dropped it my shorts or pajama pants pocket and I really like it. I haven't done and hard cutting but lots of cardboard and packages, kids stuff, etc. I haven't had to sharpened it since I got it new.
If the mini grip in general doesn't suit you then I would let it go. If you do like the mini grip package then m390 is icing on the cake. Also a platform for an m390 Wilkins mini grip that may change your mind completely.

Still need to know what its worth lol, I don't have original box, but knife is in good shape, never been carried, it literally sat in a glass case with a few of my other "collectables".
