Well, I finally pulled the trigger on a RAT rc-4 in desert tan. My wife's gonna kill me when it shows up but she'll probably cool off if I offer to get her a knife of equal value.

That's the spirit Hoopster! ;)

If you haven't yet, check out the RAT Cutlery sub-forum under manufacturers. Also, you might just find that a pink Izula would make the wife happy.
Good Luck and enjoy your RC-4:thumbup:

Hi,

Is there no love for Queen D2 fixed blades? They have a nice drop point for just under $50. And most of the others are under $60.

Benchmade Rant Drop-Point 10502

What they said. Either of these would be great choices at around $50 retail. I would prefer them both to the RAT you ordered. RAT scales are way too thick for me. My RAT stayed in the trunk of my car for a few months and then I sold it. I never knew what all the fuss was about.

How about a Buck 119? Well with $75 and cuts very well for me. Don't get so hung up on blade steel.

Edit: Forgot to add the Becker Companion, seen them on the net for <$65. Don't have one (yet), has a 5 inch blade and appears to be well made.
